Encrypted Tweets

For those of you who’ve been following me on Twitter for some time now, I’m sure you’ve noticed my infamous “Encrypted Tweets.” Or at least that’s what my friend Tim Little (Twitter: @LittleTimothy) once referred to them as.

If you don’t know what I mean by “Encrypted”; what I’m referring to are those tweets that come out of left field. They usually are extremely random and probably leave you thinking, “What the heck is Gordon talking about?”

Just so you can understand where these tweets usually come from, I’m going to give you a little insight on my thought process. First off, these tweets can be inspired from a couple different avenues. They’re usually things people say to me, things I hear or see, something I read in a book, a lyric, inspired by the city I’m in, a thought of my own or even a fragment of a complete thought. Regardless, its obviously something I want to share with you all if I tweet it out.

Here are a couple examples of pretty recent encrypted tweets I shared:

Tweet: “Confidently lost”

(This tweet was inspired by someones t-shirt I saw in the mall)

Tweet: “ Man, I love this place”

(I was at my alma mater Sacred Heart University, this past weekend and I was having a great time. So, I tweeted about SHU in this instance, but not giving you all too much info by telling you exactly where I’m at.)

Tweet: “be my shrink for the hour”

(This is a lyric to a song I was listening to at the moment)

Tweet: “What we sell is not a commodity, what we sell is a concept”

(This is something one of my best friends fathers said to me as he was describing what he does for work)

This is the last one.

Tweet: “To me, every single day is research and development”

(This is simply my own thought. I was just thinking about how companies do research and development all the time on their products or service. In this case, I was referring to myself and how everyday we can develop to be better versions of ourselves)

So there you have it. A little insight to what you may expect from me and where these tweets come from or what they’re inspired by.

Sometimes before I tweet some of these out, I always wonder if anyone knows what I’m talking about or maybe referencing. Most of you probably scroll by without putting any thought into it, but I understand, I’d probably do that to.

Anyway, I try to keep things fresh and unique because nowadays on social media there’s a lot of repetition and I guess my “encrypted tweets” is one of the ways I do that.

It’s 11:00pm and I’m pretty tired, so I’ll catch y’all later.

Peace and Blessings
